Bird ID By Sound

Author: Steve Atkins and Matt Holker
Header image: Adrian Dancy

These series' of audio tutorials examine the songs and calls of birds that can be found in Greater Manchester at different times of the year. The recordings were put together by staff and volunteers as part of the From Grey to Green project (2012 - 2015). For each species Matt, Charlotte, Rosie and Steve have provided sound clips and identification tips for the songs and calls. Whether a keen beginner, or an experienced birder, we feel there is something here for everyone. Select a series below.
